The Gobi Desert Mountain Biking Expedition allows you to marvel at this abundance of desert life and along the way, takes you through vast Mongolian steppes and forest mountains where you will experience nomadic herding life. With over the 80% of its vast lands remainning untouched and pristine. Mongolia encompasses six different ecological zones: Taiga forest, mountains steppe, grassy steppe, desert steppe and the infamous Gobi desert zone. In the Mongolian language, "gobi" means deset and there are 33 gobi regions within the country. Despite their name they are far from being the dead sandy deserts that you may expect, with these regions very much alive and rich in natural vegetation, wild animals and very rare birds.We will also follow a dinosaur fossil trail, laid down by Roy Chapman Andrews and his team from the American Museum of Natural History who discovered the first nest of dinosaur eggs the world had ever seen.
Day 1: Arrival to Ulaanbaatar, guided city sightseeing
Upon arrival at the Ulaanbaatar airport, you will be met by your guide and driver and transferred to your hotel. Ulaanbaatar is a very rapidly growing and developing city with a population of nearly a million people. Your hotel is within walking distance from Sukhbaatar Square, museums, theatres, and shops. Depending on an arrival time, you may enjoy a short city orientation tour before dinner. Sightseeing of UB, including the Natural History Museum with 16 m long 70 million year old skeleton of a Tarbosaur, Gandan Monastry – Mongolia’s Buddist centre, the Green Palace of the Mongolian last king Bogd Javzandamba. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2-4: Bike to forested Bogd Khan Mountain/ 13th century National Park complex.
The mountain landscape is a mix of vast steppes and rolling hills and rugged mountains.13th century complex show the life of the 13th century Mongols. It consists of 5 camps: an "Educational camp" where traditional calligraphy, needlework and games are displayed and taught, "Herdsmen camp", "Shaman's camp", "Blacksmith camp" and the "King's Palace". This is a massive live show where everybody is dressed in traditional clothing, demonstrate ancient handicrafts and lead the life ways of the 13th century.
Day 5: Cycling to Khan Khenty Mountain/Terelj National Park,
Bike to Terelj National Park, visit Chinggis Khan Satatue. The statue is 40m high and is erected for in memory of the Great Khan. Also it is largest horse statue in the world. Cycle around the NP and visit to small beautiful Ariyapala meditation Buddhist monastery. Enjoy stone grilled real Mongolian BBQ for Dinner at luxury tourist camp and overnight at the camp.The landscape is rugged mountain scenery, forests, rivers, rocks, wetlands and alpine tundra.
Day 6: Drive back to Ulaanbaatar
Check in hotel and prepare for early morning flight to south Gobi Desert
Day 7: Flight to south Gobi/ Eagle Canyon
Take a flight to Dalanzadgad of the South Gobi province. After one and a half hours, land in South Gobi and meet support team. Drive to Yolin Am ( Vulture Canyon) a wonderfully picturesque place and surrounded by sheer rocky walls and incredible 40 km long canyon where is part of Great Gobi National Park and the beautiful peaks of the Three Beauties Mountain Range. Vist Gobi museum and cycle down into Canyon to the camp on rough jeep tracks.
Day 8: Cycle to Flaming Red Cliffs of Bayanzag
Bike to and explore the world famous Flaming Cliffs- Bayan Zag. American palaeontologist, Roy Chapman Andrews who discovered dinosaur fossils here, including a nest of fossilised dinosaurs eggs in 1920. Dinner and Overnight at tourist ger camp.
Day 9-11: Cycling to the Sand Dunes of Khongoriin Els
Cycle to sand dunes of Khongoriin Els where is Mongolian largest sand dunes 180 km long, up to 800m high. known as "the singing sands". Easy to climb up to highest Dune and can see amazing views of the Gobi and sunset. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp. Green meadow and Khongor river lies beside of the sand dunes
Day 12: Free day
Cycle around the sand dunes, visit camel breeder's home and two humped "bactrian" camel trekking.
Day 13: Drive to Dalanzadgad
Drive back to tourist ger camp near the town and prepare for return flight to UB.
Day 14: Flight to Ulaanbaatar
Arrive in UB, check in hotel, free afternoon for souvenir and cashmere shops before attending a performance of national folklore. A farewell dinner in Mongolian Barbeque restaurant
Day 15: Departure

We require a completed booking form and a non refundable deposit of $250 per person in order to confirm your spot on the tour. Booking confirmation will be send to you Confirmation invoice and payment of the balance of the tour price. Travel is within 60 days of booking. Full payment is required.
We do not accept a booking until we receive a booking form and deposit.
The balance of all monies due must be paid to the Company no later than 9 weeks before your departure. If booking is made within 60 weeks, then the full amount is payable at the time your booking is confirmed. In the case of nonpayment of the balance by the due date, the Company reserves right to cancel your booking and cancellation charges will apply.
If the Client wishes to cancel, cancellation charge will be imposed. These are calculated from the day written notification is received by the company. Any cancellation by the client must be made in writing.
The cancellation charges are expressed as a percentage of the total tour price.

The client are responsible for arranging and must be in possession of, a valid passport (your passport must be valid 6 months past your return date) all visas, permits, and certificates of vaccination ,insurance policies ,required for the whole of their journey.
